Future Health, LLC (hereinafter referred to as “Future Health”) recognizes the tremendous importance of protecting the confidentiality of policy owners’ and insureds’ personal and medical information as mandated by applicable law. Future Health has implemented procedures to maintain such confidentiality throughout the viatical/life settlement process.

How Future Health Protects Information

Future Health ONLY allows access to nonpublic, personal information about policy owners and insureds to those employees, licensed professionals and/or qualified professionals, including but not limited to third party medical underwriters and licensed potential buyers (viatical/life settlement providers) of policies, who need to know such information to evaluate and facilitate the transaction. Future Health maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect nonpublic, personal information. All Future Health employees and other authorized personnel are required to comply with a) all applicable state and federal privacy laws, including without limitation, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) which sets national standards to protect the privacy of personal health information; and b) Future Health established policies, including these confidentiality procedures.

Uses of Collected Information

Future Health represents the best interests of policy owners and insureds throughout the transaction – there is no need to ask Future Health to keep information private. Future Health does not and will not disclose, give, sell or conduct any form of transfer of any information gathered, whether public or private, to any unauthorized party unless compelled by governmental, regulatory, state or federal court order. Please note that any company or third party Future Health discloses information to shall have the same high standards that Future Health has with regard to confidentiality and privacy.

Decision to Stop the Process

At any time during the transaction, prior to finalization of the sale of a policy owner’s policy, he or she may decide for any reason to stop the process and have his/her/its information in Future Health’s possession destroyed, subject to applicable law. If such decision is reached, then the policy owner shall alert Future Health in writing (via mail or e-mail at info@futurehealth.com) and Future Health shall inform any and all actual or potential buyers of the policy owner’s policy of such decision.

Update/Amend this Privacy Policy

Future Health may, in its sole discretion, update and/or amend this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to its confidentiality practices and procedures. Future Health encourages policy owners, insureds and users of its site to review this page periodically for any applicable modifications.
